Bali is more than a destination; it’s an experience that lingers in your soul long after your visit. My journey through this magical island took me from the cliffs of Uluwatu to the serene bamboo houses of Ubud, blending natural beauty, cultural richness, and a sprinkle of adventure. Here’s a recap of my unforgettable Balinese escape.

March 14: Discovering Uluwatu’s Hidden Gems

My journey began at Sal’s Secret Spot in Pecatu, South Kuta—a cozy haven perfect for soaking in Bali’s laid-back vibe. After settling in, I headed to Ulu Cliffhouse, a stylish beach club perched on the cliffs, offering stunning ocean views and delectable cocktails.

Next, I visited the iconic Uluwatu Temple, where the dramatic cliffside location and sweeping views of the Indian Ocean took my breath away. By evening, the cultural grandeur of Garuda Wisnu Kencana set the stage for the famous Kecak Fire Dance. The rhythmic chanting and dramatic storytelling as the sun dipped below the horizon made for an unforgettable night.

March 15-16: South Bali’s Coastal Delights

I relocated to Ayona Villa in Seminyak, a luxurious oasis where I spent two relaxing nights. My exploration of South Bali included a trip to Tanah Lot Temple, where the unique offshore setting is mesmerizing. At the La Laguna Gypsy Market, I wandered through vibrant stalls selling bohemian treasures.

A Bali trip isn’t complete without traditional clothing, so I arranged a photoshoot at Ayuning Busana. I wrapped up my time in Seminyak with visits to the eco-chic Peloton Supershop for a healthy brunch and Single Fin for sunset views. A snorkeling adventure to the Underwater Temple with Buddha at Nusa Lembongan was the perfect way to cap off this segment.

March 16-18: Immersed in Ubud’s Tranquility

Moving inland, I arrived at the enchanting Moon Villa – Eco Bamboo House. My days here were spent embracing Ubud’s serene charm. I visited Green Village, an eco-community showcasing innovative bamboo architecture, and enjoyed meditative moments surrounded by nature.

From learning about Bali’s famed poop coffee to exploring traditional crafts like wood carving and silver jewelry making, every activity deepened my appreciation for Bali’s rich culture. The Ulun Danu Beratan temple’s lakeside beauty and the lively Barong Dancers left lasting impressions.

March 18-20: Waterfalls, Temples, and Markets

Relocating to Padi Eco Villas, my day began with a visit to the stunning Tukad Cepung Waterfall. Its ethereal light beams cascading through the jungle were truly magical. I also explored the sacred Tirta Empul Temple and enjoyed a relaxing lunch en route to the iconic Tegalalang Rice Terraces.

The Monkey Forest in Ubud was a playful interlude, and I ended the day at the bustling Ubud Market, where colorful crafts and trinkets made for perfect souvenirs. The next day, I ventured north to Mount Batur and soaked in the Air Panas Banjar Hot Springs before marveling at the serene Taman Tirtagangga Fish Palace.

March 21: Closing with Wellness and Harmony

The final day of my journey focused on relaxation and reflection. I began with a Sound Healing session at the Pyramids of Chi in Ubud, where the soothing vibrations brought me a deep sense of peace. After a leisurely lunch, I indulged in a flower bath, massage, and scrub at Karsa Spa. My last stop was the Campuhan Ridge Walk, a tranquil path offering sweeping views of Ubud’s lush landscapes.

Final Reflections

Bali is a treasure trove of experiences, from its dramatic temples and pristine beaches to its vibrant markets and serene wellness retreats. Each day felt like a new chapter in a story I didn’t want to end. Whether you’re seeking adventure, culture, or relaxation, Bali promises to leave you enchanted—and longing to return.
